International Success and Agony in the Liverpool Midfield

By: CSD | August 21st, 2008

While Captain Fantastic was being horribly misused against Denmark and being subbed out, Xabi Alonso was being subbed in and making waves.

Seriously, let’s not sell the guy. He’s beaming with confidence right now and if he gets a start this Saturday, I think he’s going to come up with a solid performance. As for the England squad, it’s still McClaren’s team with McClaren’s captain, soon to follow in McClaren’s footsteps.

john terry is “mclaren’s captain” and somehow that makes england into mclaren’’s england? that’s a joke. john terry is the embodiment of english football. heart, dedication, committment, and power. don’t bash england because your precious gerrard didn’t even gain candidacy for captain.

Actually, he was which is why he wore the armband in Fabio Capello’s first match as manager. If you look at who he’s picking and who McClaren picked before, there’s not much difference outside of David James. Hopefully, the experimental phase is over and they’ll do well in the World Cup Qualifying, but from the outside looking in, it looks to be business as usual.

I also think you need to talk to Dr. Phil about your John Terry obsession. =)
