Sissoko “really mad” at Rafa Benitez for Euro snub
By: ed | December 11th, 2007Momo Sissoko is, apparently, really mad that Rafa has noticed his sub-standard appearances this season and has taken action by dropping him from the side. Not content with being part of the team that lost 3-1 to READING (!!!), he’s indicated he may leave in January.
Great. One less central midfielder. One less person for Lucas to displace on his rise to long-haired glory.
Thanks for the memories Momo, you had the potential to be a great; a real fan favourite. Unfortunately, that eye injury really screwed you over and you never fully came back from it. I hope you reach your potential, although never against Liverpool, at another club in another country.

I think a change of scenery would do the kid wonders. Injuries have devastated his career… at least at Liverpool.

Sissoko just doesn’t have a spot on this squad. Even with heavy rotation, I don’t think he would be seeing any significant action in the second half of the season. Masch is pure class and as steady and consistent as they come. We all know what Alonso provides. And Lucas is showing why he is considered one of the best young Brazilian players.
I wish him the best, but I don’t think he will ever realize the potential that we all thought he possessed.

oh by the way- we won today as well. you’d think more than one two paragraph entry a week wouldnt be too much to ask for one of the top ten clubs in the world. just saying. and yes. bye bye momo. hello lucas.

Would like more posts, yes. Going to make passive-aggressive jabs at someone who is probably very busy, no. If you’re really that bothered by it, write your own blog. In the mean time, I’m happy to read what is written every few days or so. Give it a rest man, catching games in the states and (i think) ed’s canada is not easy. Even today’s game on espn2 was marred by blackouts and splotches. So sure, we could bitch about lack of posts, or, save yourself the wrist cramp and piss off.
