UEFA Champions League: Up for a Real Challenge?

By: Nadia | December 19th, 2008

It shall be revenge for Torres as Liverpool drew with all-Dutch Spanish giant, Real Madrid, whose recent form has been dodgy enough to warrant for Bernd Schuster to be replaced by Spurs flop, Juande Ramos.

Other mouth-watering fixtures:

Inter Milan vs Manchester United: The Special One is finally back on English soil!

Arsenal vs Roma: Erm…

Chelsea vs Juventus: Ah the romance of football…Claudio Ranieri returning to his former club

Lyon vs Barcelona: With Lionel Messi as joint top scorer, Barca looks to be favourites to win this tournament

Most unexciting match in my opinion: Villareal vs Panathinaikos

Doubt there will be an all-English final in Rome.

I think this will be a very good game since both teams play the game at an extreme pace of speed and the two speedy giants clashing will be a match to remember. i think this will be very close and can go either way, too close for me to call :\

Real are in bad shape but they’re on a signing spree, after all, 7 injuries in midseason is not very current if you ask me. They have a couple months to shape up since liverpool is right now the best team along with barca.

P.S: Real don’t need di stefano, they did it with redondo, mijatovic and zidane ; ) The 10th awaits its Real holder.
