The Daily Diatribe: Riise might not be texting actresses and models much longer, Guthrie is still a Saint, & Rafa recalls painful memories
By: Brian | March 30th, 2007* Poor John Arne, sounds like his former agent was a scumbag, taking loans out in his client’s name. I love how, in every article that includes Riise or Bellamy, they keep mentioning the incident that allegedly occurred in Portugal. Still haven’t read any official reports or eyewitness accounts from legitimate witnesses. Weird. Oh, wait, that old couple across the street from the hotel, who were awoken in the middle of the night by noises from the street… forgot about them. My favorite part of this article is how they mention he lives next to Tim Cahill. Awesome. I’ll be sure to remember that next time I play Trivia Pursuit. Doesn’t Xabi live next to Mikel Arteta? (Note: If you don’t know to what I’m referring to in the title, go here.)
* Danny Guthrie to stay with Southampton for the remainder of the season. I thought he was there for the remainder anyhow. Also, in that same article, is a mention of Paraguayan Luis Paez rejecting a move to Liverpool. First I’ve heard of him, though Sky Sports claims he had trained with us. He apparently didn’t like the weather.
* Finally, Rafa’s battle cry this weekend is ‘Remember the Cup ties!’ Maybe it should be ‘Fuckin’ win or we might not be in the Champion’s League next year!’ I’ll be back with a slack-ass preview of tomorrow’s match with Arsenal and an episode of the award winning blamsho (that’s blog + game + show, I know, I know, my wit is murderess) What will Rafa do?
