Here in america there are only a few ways to get football analysis and commentary, and Steven’s shows are two of my favorites. You should know that all of these combative statements are actually backfiring and starting to smear the Liverpool name. I love liverpool, and I would also love to continue to hear commentary about Liverpool on his quality programs. All I ask is that before you write any public statement, ask yourself if a truly honorable person would write the same letter. Would Obama write this letter? Would any other world leader write this letter? Hillsborough was a terrible tragedy, and he shouldn’t have said the things he said, but I sincerely hope that this is the last I hear of this situation

I think Steven has a right to his opinion and you may agree or disagree but to threaten him and behave in a manner akin to violent cavemen just proves his point. Liverpool fans suck it up, get over it, and in truth 96 people died that is the tragedy here, not what someone on a radio show thinks or says.

I think it goes without saying that the death threats are overboard and I’d hope that those have ceased. Obviously things like that only make this matter worse. And without getting all first amendment, I agree that he has the right to make comments contrary to popular opinion or belief. But he should also have the sense to understand the volatility of the comments that he has made and should be held accountable for an explanation, particularly when those comments are made on a popular radio show on which he has expressed anti-Liverpool sentiment on countless occasions. And nobody has made him out to be a dumb American…maybe just a dumb Englishman in America.

Cohen is a douche bag. I love how his defense is, “Uh, I’m getting death threats.” Rubbish. Has anyone been detained for such threats? I haven’t heard so. Has he produced evidence of this? Not that I know of. He’s a pathetic loser who’s now trying to play the victim because he made idiotic remarks out of pure hatred. He deserves to lose his ‘livelihood’ solely because he is not responsible enough to maintain a professional standard.

See you know what angers me about this statement? No where in the statement do they make any attempt to stop the Liverpool fans from sending death threats to Mr Cohen

Now I listen to the show on podcast, and while I don’t agree with what he has said, he isn’t the dumb american that many people are making him out to be, infact he runs a quality show. At the end of the day, he has every right to make his comments, and LFC have every right to rebut them, but what people don’t have a right to do is send the man bloody death threats. So while I don’t agree with what he is saying, I think some Liverpool fans aren’t acting in the right way either
