Remembering the 96

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster, April 15, 1989, a day that saw 96 Liverpool supporters lose their lives at the FA Cup semi-final. Reds across the world unite today to remember the lives lost that day.

The official club website is offering free LFCTV all day to follow the special services. The service at Anfield starts at 9:30am EST and will be televised, but there are other programs available as well. Full schedule here.

Yesterday was a proud day for Liverpool FC–the result was not ideal, but the spirit of the club shone through. A day like today is a sad one, but also a day of pride for the strength of a football club that does so much for its supporters on and off the pitch.
