Poll: Who should own LFC?
By: CSD | February 26th, 2008It must be a slow news day because the biggest story I’ve seen flying around is about how Hicks isn’t selling Liverpool FC. Or is he?
Well, what do you guys think? Now keep in mind all the possibilities when you vote. The rumors are that Rafa and Hicks have turned a bumpy relationship into a love fest and that Gillett was the one who initially wanted to find a safety net in case Rafa left. Rumor also has it that DIC would drop Rafa and is already looking for candidates to replace him should they take control of the club. Then there’s the fans. Who knows what the hell they would do?
I’ve never used this polling script so hopefully it doesn’t cock up.

“DIC w/Hicks” sounds like a social disease.
(Did I just say that?)

Hey, why not? Can’t be any worse than what you’ve got now.

I know there’s only been 81 votes so far, but I’m still surprised at the overwhelming number of votes for DIC. I know it’s “bad” right now (bad is quoted because it’s not much worse than what the Glazers did, and that turned out okay so far), but anything coming out of Dubai should be scrutinized very carfully. Go look up some of the human rights issues and you’ll see what I mean.

Anyone other than the Americans for me. They’ve lied, tried to run the club from afar, betrayed Rafa and the fans and continue to do so – all to seemingly make a quick buck at the end of it. That’s all they care about, not the club, not one jot, lets make no mistake about it. They’re motivated by securing a profit from the club and are messing with an institution they no little about.

Look, the US economy is being sucked into a black hole. It doesn’t matter whether or not Hicks WANTS to sell, at some point he is going to have to. But he can’t say he wants to/has to or the price DIC is willing to pay will drop. I’d love to see the fans own it, but who has the nicker for that?
