Off to the US–err London We Go

By: CSD | April 16th, 2008

midget pornWhile disgracing myself while looking at midget porn my buddy sent me, I suddenly remembered that we have a match Saturday.

Before meeting Chelsea on Tuesday, the Reds shall face the other other club from London, Fulham. I’m expecting an exciting match, well played by both sides that’ll–oh, Christ! I can’t do this. They are, for lack of better words, fucking terrible. I hope Torres gets another hat trick. Benitez is not taking the club lightly, saying that it’s a must win to secure fourth position.

If you look at the upcoming schedule, Liverpool’s isn’t exactly horrible. There’s Fulham this week, then Birmingham, and Man City. Everton have it much worse. They play Chelsea, then Aston Villa, and Arsenal. Now, who has a worse schedule than Everton? Chelsea.

The Blues are going to have to make a choice. With the problems on and off the field with players, I do not think that Avram Grant has the resources to chase the league title as well as the Champions League. After playing Everton, his side will have to face Man United as well as a team from Newcastle that, with the exception of the Pompey game, have figured out that the ball goes between the posts.

I hope that Rafa does what we’ve hated him for all season and saves the big guns for Tuesday. What would be even better would be to use them against Fulham and pull them off early, but he’s never done that, so why start now? I’m anxious to see how each club’s strategies unfold but right now, I say advantage Liverpool.

what do you think will happen with hicks and G?

is either gonna sell, or will we end up with a club that’s fighting for a uefa cup position next season… and after that.. maybe relegation.

im not kidding man, this does not look good. neither wants to sell!

I’m starting to think that everyone from Texas subscribes to the “W” method of staying the course–even when that course might lead to disasterous results. Tom Hicks will never be accepted by the fans now. He had his shot at the beginning of his stewardship of this great club, but since then he’s done nothing but dig himself a hole….and then proceed to cave in the walls of said hole. There is nothing that he can do, at this point, to make this franchise more valuable. It’s time for him to give up and sell to someone who understands football and understands the Liverpool way–because it sure as hell looks nothing like the Texas Rangers way.

Oh, and we have a match this weekend? I’d like to see us rest some guys but a win here would really put 4th place on ice–so I’d like to see the big guns on the bench if things aren’t looking so good at the half.

Let’s hope that Torres does in fact play, with games against Fulham and Birmingham he has a real chance of breaking Van Nistelrooy’s record of 24 EPL goals in his debut season. What’s more worrying, given our collective mancrush on el Nino are reports that we may have to sell him in order to repay money owe on various loans we made to generate transfer money. Read the article and weep, while I have a lie down and recover from the stress induced heart palpitations.

Sorry, I’ll be wearing my new Torres shirt with pride. They need the cash for signings. I refuse to hurt the team.
