Liverpool apparently bag another Spanish wonderboy

By: Brian | March 2nd, 2007

Real Madrid wanted him, Arsene Wenger was eyeing him, but Liverpool beat them all to the punch, allegedly signing 18-year-old centreback Pedro Malaga from Segunda División side, Malaga FC. Hmmm, why do I feel like a ‘his name’s Alcala, he came from Malaga’ song will be heard down the (Anfield) road?

This is following Malaga manager Juan Roman Muniz’s rant about how “We are not developing players for Liverpool and Arsenal!” *cough* reality check *cough*

Pedro will be joining former teammate Franscico Duran, if and when, he comes to Melwood. I’m sure that was a factor.

So to sum up our recent mass youth movement, here’s who we’ve acquired:
GK Daniele Padelli (Italy)
DF Ronald Huth (Paraguay)
DF Emiliano Insua (Argentina)
MF Franscico Duran (Spain)
MF Astrit Ajdarevic (Sweden)
ST Jordy Brouwer (Netherlands)

Gillett and Hicks have also announced that the ‘Liverpool Reds’ have bought the sponsorship rights to the “It’s a Small World” ride at Disney World.
