I dont really think the fans care much for ShareLiverpool, we just want the Americans out. People are preparing to take action in different ways. The results of late are neither here nor there at the moment, these are dark days at the club. Its more important to stand up for the players and manager with everything else going on around them.

There is an article on RAWK regarding a meeting at the Sandon last night that will put things in much better perspective and is well worth reading. Basically DIC are still at the table, Hicks has become complacent and thinks the fans have calmed down, which is strengthening his arm at the negotiations. Parry and Moores know they f*cked up and are doing their best to get the pair out. Gillette is loaned up to his eyeballs and cant get any more funds, and wants out, hence him being so quiet for so long. But he has also had a massive fall out with Hicks and does not want to hand over the club solely to him. They dont even have the money to build the stadium, only to begin the work. They reckon that with a loan in place and planning permission secured the value will have gone up, as will their profits.

Anyway, ignore the results at the moment, ignore idiotic comments about Gerrard being the problem (WTF?!), get behind the lads and SUPPORT the team, and lets hope that this sorry mess can be put to bed once and for all.

The difference between Barca and a fan purchase of Liverpool is that the fan ownership of Barca didn’t have to buy out the club at its current value. If liverpool were owned by fans now, and paid a membership fee as Barca fans do, they would still have all the revenues from ticket sales and tv rights to put into transfers. Liverpool fans would have to pony up the value of the club on top of the amount of money necessary to run the club and acquire players.

how does Barcelona do it? they’re owned by the “fans” but i honestly have no idea how they sign plums like Ronaldinho & Henry .. it’s not like the Basques are selling rice on the side of the road & hoping they’ll have enough for thier next footballing genius .. the money has to come from somewhere ..
