rofl
the irony of this victory is too much.
Babel gets “pulled” down… which was far far more questionable then the kuyt pulling down hleb in the first leg. Ide like to look at it again, but to me it looked as though the contact was hit outside of the box started to lose his balance and then went down in the box. I dont think he dived…I just think his feet carried him into the box and with all those arms waving around it looked much much worse then it was.Either way the pool get incredibly lucky again. Too bad they cant do better then 4th in the league

Fourth will get us back into the CL again, which is where we have nights like tonight.
No words for this game…should have sent a poet.

What a travesty. Im not rooting for either team but if I was an Arsenal fan I would be livid.

The game was a joke. As an american fan paying a premium to watch english games, I will cancel my fsc because everytime I watch a game the ref screw it up or do they have an agenda. I could care less who won but just like anytime a top 5 team plays like man u all you get is bias. Your league is a joke and makes the nba look honest. I mean seriously you sabotaged lfc against man u by deciding it was time to make a point, bs. I liked Fulham but have not seen a crucial call go their way since game 2 but babel flays like an idiot and you give him a penalty, I am done with your league at least won’t see this crap week in and out. If you treated the teams the same the table would not look as it does. Get rid of relegation and ball licking man u and your league might have a chance. It’s like watching the nba finals every game where prestige gets you a terrible advantage at the expense of the ones who one the game arsenal

what a result!!!!! liverpool go one down in the first few minutes. then sami pulls one back with a bullet header before el nino scores a sublime goal. one goal up, we’re cruising to the semis but walcott runs the length of the pitch and suddenly we’re heading out with 6 plus injury time.
right from the kick off, babel is hauled down in the area and gerrard sends the kop into raptures with a hammer of a penalty. the gooners push forward but, with minutes nay seconds to go, babel gets on the end of a long clearance and puts it beyond doubt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
get in. what a game for the neutrals. what a game for the reds.

first time I have seen an exciting match involving two english teams….

Liverpool has sucked all year and arsenal handed them their ass up till this change in marketing that now says lfc is better than they have shown all year the league should not play games if they have already decided the outcome. All things going well to walcott ran the length of the field through all of lfc defense and midfield thats the real lfc. but shit no time left must fix this. Babel is a douche bag and should have been booked for simulation. No way that last goal happens if the heart of arsenal wasn’t destroyed with “The worst call of the year”.. Cesc Fabragas is the best player in epl so why not market him and give him some help from refs? that’s right he’s a foreigner. But to you Gerrard is god, even though he would not make my top 100. Actually look at england and you could argue he’s not top 200.

Hahaha…typical response from Arsenal fans led by a Frenchman.

Great match. We must have been watching different games, Erik. I was rooting for Arsenal (only to avoid Chelsea-Liverpool AGAIN) but Liverpool deserved this one. Really great game from a neutral’s standpoint. Never would have thought in a million years this would end 4-2. Great turn and shoot from Torres, and a completely unstoppable penalty from Gerrard. PLEASE make the semis interesting and play like this next round.

I’m sorry for any negative thing I said about Babel. He does great off the bench. My favorite goal was when Torres scored. It was as if he said, “btw, I’m still playing.. hahahaha…”

I’m exhausted. That game took a toll on me. But what a game it was!!! The Torres man-crush is achieving epic proportions. What an impact Babel made on the tired Arsenal defense. He was immense. Gerrard’s penalty was perfect. And Sami, what a header he put on that first goal.

ed u r an idiot or blind watch the replay he flailed his arms but zero contact. Babel proves he’s a bitch

Babel was clearly trying to keep his feet.

The worst part of today is having to see Chelsea two years in a row.

same game Ian different perspective. Seen this crap to much horrible call. Yet maybe the perspective comes from 3yr spent playing for Eintract Steinheim in Germany where that would have never happened you have to actually foul some one to give a ps.

I’m not an EPL fan, or a Liverpool fan, or an Arsenal fan, but it looked like a penalty to me.

I thought it was a bit harsh, honestly. It could’ve easily gone the other way.

I’ll admit I was rooting for Arsenal, but you know it sucks how two ref decisions that contradict each other on the facts (Arsenal’s denied penalty 1st leg, Liverpool’s penalty on the second) completely decided this fixture… Liverpool through, though, and they deserved it as much as Arsenal.

What a game… What an F***ing Game!!! Thats all i can say to this

The call could have gone either way. I’ve seen Liverpool not get a call like that before, and I’m sure Arsenal fans can think of a few occasions when they got a different end of the stick. Bottom line is that’s football, and anyone who thinks the ref had a bias for a team is crazy. Deal with the result, grow up, and stop being ignorant.

–> Erick
why pay a premium to watch a sport you don’t understand? stick with the NFL ..
****
fair play to the Gooners, they gave it their all and had me sweating it throughout the entire game .. i hate to see a penalty be so crucial in a match but after watching the replay at least 5 times, i think i can say the following:
a) Babel tried to keep his feet
b) had he kept his feet, he would of scored
c) we f**kin’ won!DON’T LOOK BACK AT WENGER!

I don’t understand him bitching about FSC when the games are on ESPN2. He could REALLY pay a premium and pickup Setanta. Watch some good Championship League games. Or stick to the basic cable MLS…bwahahaha…
