Like dossena and degen - both were trash against spurs. Even though degen did get forward, he then had to track back to defend but could't and his marking and decision making was poor (maybe needs more game time to get used to pace) and dossena... omg how the hell we gonna offload him for more than 7mil pounds. but also i think the starting line up needed a playmaker, like a xabi or benayoun because no one in the starting 11 had that sort of quality. maybe even pacheco ahaha i think the problem was not who benitez chose, but the performance of those chosen. And when else can he field his second stringers, if not during outings like this. It goes to show that he's saving the best XI for the league, ucl and probably FA.
