  Nice start for Liverpool. Really pretty flick in from Crouch. Friendlies don’t mean much but it’s good to get the wins and have the confidence of knowing you can score from the start when Aug 11 comes around.

  Really? Friendlies don’t count? REALLY?!?!? OMG, another genius revelation from a Mickey Mouse Club fan.

  You know nothing about friendlies if you think a coach doesn’t use them to evaluate how certain players play together and whether or not a player is good enough to make the leap to the first team squad or whether he needs to play on the reserves longer.

  Ian, yeah, it was a nice little win, which if history has anything to say about it, will be our last preseason win, as we tend to not do well once we leave England before the regular season starts and all our remaining dates are in Europe and Asia.
