For me, the goal most indicative of his class was the header. It looked more like a training ground practice drill, except in the middle of a match with huge implications in the race for a Champions League spot. He was so cool and collected, as he always is, but for some reason watching that goal astounded me. Such a clinical finish, with such great hair and good looks...wait..dammit

The kid is a class act. He makes everything look so simple and he is so quick, everything is done with the minimum of fuss and is over in a flash. Just have a quick think about his goals this season and see if you can remember another striker recently who scores as many varied goals as him. Left foot, right foot, head, from inside the box to screamers from outside, coverting crosses, taking on the keeper and scoring, slotting home 1 on 1's, his repertiore is phenomenal. He's like Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush and Michael Owen rolled into one! and I don't think I'm exaggerating, that is some striker.

Hattricks in successive home games--not a bad first season he's having. I didn't think that it was possible for the collective Torres mancrush to become any greater, but El Nino continues to prove that theory wrong. Hard to believe that he actually seems like a bargain at what we paid for him.
