Time to Man Up

By: CSD | April 22nd, 2008

riiseI think the picture captures how I feel. I’m still in shock as to how we could give away a one goal lead in the final seconds of the match, but I guess that’s just the funny game of football.

Chelsea did a pretty good job of shutting down Torres as we did Drogba. Torres had a few opportunities that I was surprised he didn’t capitalize on, but just couldn’t seem to beat Cech. We can’t let the own goal make us forget Kuyt’s hard work. Without the short pass from Gerrard and Kuyt’s brilliant finish, we’d be one down instead of even.

So at the end of the day, it’s time for this team to face another big challenge. It’s time to man up and show that we deserve this cup.

i’m far too pissed to say something funny or uplifting .. not too surprised that we had to score their goal for them ..
Drogba put in a good performance though .. he should be assured a spot on the diving team in the Olympics this summer ..

True, but Chelsea has to play Man U on the weekend, so they can’t rest anyone… they have to win that game.

A day removed from the result, I have to say that I’m very much looking forward to next Wednesday. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a true 4-4-2, with Crouch up front to help give Torres some space. True, Torres had some chances, but Cech is long and skilled, and at close range he’s hard to beat. I’m almost glad we have to score, it’ll be a phenomenal chance for our boys to prove their worth. I don’t think anyone would disagree that Liverpool were the better side yesterday, let’s hope that skill and luck are with us next week.

Chelsea are lucky sods and always have been, how they are second in the leasgue is beyond me. I hate everything those Russian billionaire bitches stand for.
