Liverpool - Barca II
By: Brian | March 5th, 2007So this is it. This is what our whole season has come down to, one game. There’s nothing left to win. Barca’s pulling out all the stops. They’re bringing Eto’o and their yellow jerseys. This is no time to be complacent and Stevie G knows it. I doubt Rafa will play ’small club’ ball, he’s too much of a gambler and he knows timid play doesn’t pay. That’s about all I have to say about this match, so it’s time to play ‘What will Rafa do?!?!‘
I think Rafa will want to play his best Spanish side again, but with Aurelio this time. Aurelio is definitely more of a gamble than Finnan since he tends to go further up, but he’s also fast enough to get back.
Reina

Arbeloa
Aurelio
Mascherano
Alonso
Sissoko

Kuyt
Mascherano and Sissoko together in midfield is sorta scary.
I played this game on Stick Sports with Liverpool taking it 2-1. The Reds completely dominated possession with Barca managing their goal in the final ten minutes. What’s funny is that Sissoko scored both goals for LFC and was his all-round dominating self.

After you posted playing out the Liverpool, Man U game, I too pitted the Reds and the Spanish giants. It was scoreless at the half, but then in the second, Sissoko (once again) broke the silence off a long corner. After a quick tally brought it back to 1-1, Crouch put in the game winner in the 75th minute. Also 2-1, Liverpool.
…as long as we don’t go 2-3 and lose on away goals, I’ll be happy.

I am really looking forward to this game. Barcelona is going to have to attack which could leave their defense vulnerable. I hope your Stick Sports result turns out to be true.
