Hi there, I write for Bitter and Blue and I'd like to share a little information with you guys.
I have made a couple of charts which I put on Twitter about Liverpool's use of certain players in the 2012/13 Premier League, so here goes.
Player Usage Charts
Red are defenders, yellow are midfielders, green are forwards.
The further right a player is the more starts they have made. The lower a player is the more sub appearances he has made. the larger the bubble the more minutes played.
A pretty consistent core is evident in Liverpool's PL selection. Gerrard, Suarez, Agger and Johnson are the go to guys for Rodgers. Sterling, Skrtel and Allen round out the secondary core, after that we see players who have suffered injuries or have lacked a consistent run of games.
Any thoughts?
