I’ve been a Liverpool supporter since ’08 when I moved a block away from a football bar located in Chicago called The Globe. The place is very English expat and highly recommended if you’re ever in Chicago looking to watch some EPL. Anywho, I’m going to Dublin for the Notre Dame football game Sept. 1 and then planning to fly to Liverpool on Sept. 2 for the Arsenal game. This is my first time going to the UK and I’m desperately trying to see a Reds game while I’m there. I’m a member on LFC’s website, but missed out on tickets. So two questions for people that have been to Liverpool/Anfield on a game day: 1) any recommendations for what to do bar-wise before and after the game and 2) does anyone have any experience with the touts outside Anfield? I’m just trying to get an idea if buying outside Anfield is the best route to try and get a ticket now, wondering how trustworthy and how much money I should expect to spend, etc? Any information would be much appreciated! YNWA.
