"We don't want to put any pressure on Brendan by saying you have got to make the Champions League this year.
"Of course he wants to make the Champions League, we all do and so does every team in the Premier League.
"I thought it was realistic last season but we were so far off that pace. At this point we're just trying to get things stabilised - that should be one of our goals."
It was part of a larger interview, so it's probably just some journos trying to pick out the juicy bits. But still, not sure what to make of those words. Damping down expectations before Rodgers' term has even started? Did he watch many matches last season or did he just take note of the results? In terms of points we were far off, but in terms of play we were a lot more competitive. And if it's stability they really wanted, then they should have just kept Dalglish.
What is Henry really thinking. And we all know he wants Liverpool to win titles, but how badly does he want it? What's his level of ambition?
Questions with no answers. And words don't really count anyway, only actions will tell us the truth. Hope it's the right truth.
