Liverpool 1, Arsenal 2: Falling Behind for Good

Arsenal 2: van Persie 32', 90'+2'

Liverpool falter at Anfield yet again, this time dropping all three points in injury time on a well-taken volley from Robin van Persie. The narrative mostly stayed the same, with the hosts wasting all of their chances in a mostly impressive first half performance and giving up a sloppy equalizer. Their inability to find a finish of their own conspired with more terrible defending from Jamie Carragher to give the visitors the win, leaving Kenny Dalglish's squad ten points off of fourth and with no answers to the struggles that have plagued them for most of what's been a terribly disappointing Premier League campaign.
