Sunday Open Thread: Free Falling From Space

Stay connected for news and updates

Brad Barr-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Other than Richard Buxton taking on the whole of the Anfield Wrap and Nuri Sahin posting a picture of Arda Turan wearing his Liverpool shirt--which means BUYOUT CLAUSE DISCUSSION--there's very little to pass long on a slow Sunday afternoon.

Most notable is that Morocco overturned a 0-2 deficit from the first leg to defeat Mozambique 4-2 on aggregate and 4-0 on the night, securing their spot in South Africa next year. Oussama Assaidi played for the hosts, who got one back in the first half and notched three in the second, leaving Mozambique out of the competition after likely feeling very confident on the heels of their first leg victory.

And that's about that for the day--we'll expect something to report about the stadium plans tomorrow morning, and a bit more news on personnel ahead of Tuesday's second round of World Cup qualifiers. Also, Lucas' five-year plan, which unfortunately doesn't involve adopting me as his son. Paperwork issue, I'd guess.

Hope you all manage a nice finish to the weekend, and feel free slog through the rest of the day and the international break below. I suppose you could also try free falling from space, but that's just sort of whatever.
